The “I East” Incredible Sunday Service – August 30, 2015

Greetings from the Inland Empire, where temperatures rise to 108 degrees Fahrenheit and yet the fire in the Disciples’ hearts are hotter! This Sunday, the East Region came to join us for a joint church service.

I.East Combined Service

The Life Arts Center is packed, giving us vision for what’s to come.

With the collaborative effort of song leaders from both regions, an amazing worship service was produced for the Lord! The East region announced its first members of their A.M.S. Ministry (A.M.S. stands for Arts, Media, and Sports) while the Inland Empire region debuted their choir “Unconditional” with flute, strings, and piano accompaniment.

The Word of the Lord was powerfully preached by our brother Adam Zepeda with a sermon titled, “What are you doing here?” His three points were The Spirit of Despair, The Spirit of Fulfillment, and The Spirit of Generals.

The Lord said, “Go out and stand on the mountain in the presence of the Lord, for the Lord is about to pass by.”

Then a great and powerful wind tore the mountains apart and shattered the rocks before the Lord, but the Lord was not in the wind. After the wind there was an earthquake, but the Lord was not in the earthquake. After the earthquake came a fire, but the Lord was not in the fire. And after the fire came a gentle whisper. When Elijah heard it, he pulled his cloak over his face and went out and stood at the mouth of the cave.

Then a voice said to him, “What are you doing here, Elijah?”

~1 Kings 19:11-13

Of course, the only way to end an incredible services is with two baptisms. Laura from San Bernardino proclaimed Jesus as Lord! Winston from University of Riverside, California eagerly hopped into the waters of baptism to become a disciple of Christ Jesus! It’s great to see the hearts of people moving because of God’s Word. The scriptures do not lie: the harvest is plentiful!
