Kingdom Kids

“Then little children were brought to Jesus for Him to place His hands on them and pray for them. But the disciples rebuked those who brought them. Jesus said, ‘Let the children come to me, and do not hinder them, for the Kingdom of heaven belongs to such as these.’ When He had placed His hands on them, He went on from there.” – Matthew 19:13

Jesus rebuked the disciples, for they mistakenly felt that the babies and little children were less important and perhaps even a distraction from Jesus’ ministry. Let us not be like the disciples, who were hindering the children, but rather let us determine to be like Jesus, who always made the children a priority. Jesus warmly welcomed the children into His presence to spend time with them, place His hands on them, and prayed for them.

The Children’s Ministry, affectionately called “Kingdom Kids,” is an essential outreach and ministry of the City of Angels Church. Not only are our own children learning about the Bible, but without Kingdom Kids our friends and guests would not be able to fully participate in the worship service, which is imperative for beginning, strengthening or repairing their relationship with God.
